NYC Video Shoot Pt#1: Chace Infinite

A couple weeks ago I ran out to NYC with my crew and directed a couple music videos for an upcoming Butcher’s Block music project. First to be released will be my good friend’s Chace Infinite’s video. Here is a couple shots from the shoot.

Setting up some shots in front of Prohibit in the L.E.S. Chace is a madman. #ThatIsAll

Nick Cangello is a film maker that joined the team recently. He basically listens to me rant and figures out how to capture it correctly (I say correctly because I am a little guerrilla with it). Amazing creative and addition to TBB. Welcome to the team!

Paul Mighty is my co pilot and is in charge of all audio on our projects (and tons of creative input). Probably the most reliable person I know. Everything I’m involved with he is probably not too far away. Incredible talent.

Video coming soon!

THE BUTCHER’S BLOCK PRESENTS: DJ MANIPULATOR “STUDIO KINDA DUSTY”

I am proud to be able to introduce to you the incredibly talented DJ Manipulator. What is a DJ? I think the definition varies depending on the person, and can only be defined by what a particular “DJ” does and has a passion for. Manipulator’s passion is music first. He is well versed in diverse genres of music and you can hear that influence in his production work. Never trapped by invisible perimeters, Manipulator has dug through the most obscure records to find the right drum hit, horn stab or abstract sound; building blocks for his intricate compositions.

This mix, titled “Studio Kinda Dusty,” is a collection of some of Manipulator’s favorite records, carefully crafted from the original vinyl. It includes breaks, grooves, sample originals, and just plain great music. This mix is designed to give you a break from the current flow of pre-packaged, microwavable music. A vacation for your ears to a place that is… “KINDA DUSTY.”

I guarantee you will enjoy this mix as much as he enjoyed making it.

As a bonus, the last track is a medley of original music composed by DJ Manipulator himself. A personal representation of his style of production.

For inquires regarding events and production, please feel free to contact me personally.

Enjoy!

The Butcher’s Block “Coin and Sq” Medallions

Lets face it— Puerto Rican from the hood? Yeah, gold is pretty much a prerequisite.

Even my grandmother had some gold framed teeth. I remember I worked with a Puerto Rican dude at a metal shop who fixed the greasy machinery— while wearing multiple necklaces, bracelets, gold watch and a ring on every finger.

I’m known for my gold cleaver but that never goes over well at my kids school so I toned it down a bit.

- Double sided gold coin with my TBB logo on one side and my FRANKMATIC™ logo on the other (yeah that’s my face too.. why not?)
- Addition gold piece with my Butcher’s “B”

Big shout to my peoples over at Linx Jewelry in Venice California for the continued love.

Concepts x Clarks: CNCPTS Weaver Boot

The goal is to make it look easy. The magic is in the mystery.

Being able to work with a company with so much of a heritage is truly a blessing. I’m confident in saying that Clarks is probably the industries most copied. Wallabees, Desert Boots, Weavers, Desert Treks— their design influence is in everything from high end dress shoes to skate shoes- and everything else in between.

I can go on about how the Wallabee means so to much to me. From Slick Rick to Ghostface– Especially Ghost!!!

The Weaver is Mr. Wally’s sexy cousin and shes a beauty.

Long story short– from the design to the marketing plan, I had a blast… and the cycle continues… and by that I mean I’m already working on our Spring / Summer project.
